SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday met legislators, trade representatives and tourism stakeholders at Raabita and discussed issues related to development, public welfare, business and tourism.
MLAs Rajiv Jasrotia (Jasrota), Shamima Firdous (Habba Kadal) and Mehraj Malik (Doda) apprised the Chief Minister of developmental priorities and public welfare concerns in their respective constituencies.
The legislators raised issues related to infrastructure development, public service delivery, implementation of ongoing projects and other constituency-specific matters. The Chief Minister assured them that all genuine issues would be examined for appropriate action.
A delegation led by Mohammad Yaseen Khan, President of the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), also met the Chief Minister and discussed issues concerning the trade and business community.
Another delegation, led by Zahoor Ahmad Karnai, Chairman of the Tourist Trade Interest Guild, discussed measures to promote tourism in Kashmir, including initiatives to boost tourist inflow, expand outreach and strengthen the tourism sector.
The Chief Minister appreciated the suggestions put forward by the delegations and reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining regular engagement with public representatives, trade bodies and other stakeholders to ensure responsive governance, inclusive development and sustained economic growth across Jammu and Kashmir.
