He appreciated the progress made at AIIMS Jammu, saying the institution has already started providing advanced medical services to patients from Jammu and neighbouring regions. He urged the Union Health Minister to further strengthen the institute by expanding its facilities, specialised departments and manpower so that it evolves into a premier healthcare and research institution.

Sharma also requested Nadda to expedite the completion of AIIMS Kashmir, stating that its early operationalisation would significantly improve access to advanced healthcare services in the Valley and reduce dependence on hospitals outside the region.

The Union Health Minister assured Sharma that the Government remains committed to strengthening the healthcare sector in Jammu and Kashmir and said the issues raised during the meeting, including the progress of AIIMS Kashmir, would be examined for appropriate and timely action.
