Jammu: Jammu Police Crime Branch on Tuesday booked three directors of a Greater Noida-based company for allegedly duping people by promising high returns on investment.

Acting on a written complaint from two individuals, the Special Crime Wing registered a formal case against Sanjay Bhati, Pawan Bhati and Sachin Bhati, all sons of Rattan Singh and residents of Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, operating under the banner of Gravit Innovative Promoters Ltd, a spokesperson of the agency said.

He said the trio had induced the complainants to invest money in a business purportedly related to sale and purchase of motorcycles and other ventures.

A preliminary verification confirmed that the accused, as part of a criminal conspiracy, allegedly induced the complainants to invest their money on the false assurance of providing high rates of interest and attractive returns, the spokesperson said. (PTI)
