SRINAGAR: Senior Congress leader and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday called on National Conference president Farooq Abdullah at his residence in Gupkar here.
During the meeting, Sidhu thanked Abdullah for facilitating his visit to Kashmir and expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to him during his stay.
The two leaders held a cordial interaction and discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including contemporary political and social developments. They also exchanged views on matters related to the welfare and progress of the people.
Senior National Conference leader and former minister Mohammad Shafi Uri was also present during the meeting.
The interaction comes amid Sidhu’s visit to Kashmir, where he has been engaging with political leaders and members of the public.
