Kulgam: Minister for Education, Health and Social Welfare Sakeena Itoo on Saturday visited Kulgam and held a public outreach camp at Yaripora, where she interacted with residents and reviewed their grievances and developmental concerns.
During the public darbar, people from different areas raised issues related to civic amenities, infrastructure, healthcare, education and other public welfare matters. The Minister assured them that their genuine concerns would be addressed in a time-bound manner through coordination with the concerned departments.
Addressing the gathering, Itoo said the government is committed to the welfare and development of the people and is working to improve public services across Jammu and Kashmir.
Also speaking on the occasion, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad Shah highlighted the developmental requirements of the area and said the government remains committed to the betterment of the people.
Later, the Minister visited Shahoo to review arrangements being made for the upcoming observance of Muharram-ul-Haram. She assessed preparations related to sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare facilities, traffic management and other essential services.
While interacting with officers, Itoo directed the concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed well in advance. She emphasised the need to provide all required facilities to mourners and maintain uninterrupted public services during the observance.
