Srinagar, May 18: Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, Vijaya K Rahatkar, on Monday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in Srinagar.
She was accompanied by chairpersons of women commissions from various states and senior officials.
Meanwhile, president of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Javid Ahmad Tenga, also met the lieutenant governor.
He was accompanied by Bashir Ahmad Naid, president of the J&K Fruits and Vegetables Processing and Integrated Cold Chain Association.
Later, a delegation of Badal Hockey Club Kashmir led by its president Harmeet Singh Sasan also called on Manoj Sinha.
In a separate meeting, president of Jammu and Kashmir Janta Dal United, GM Shaheen, met the lieutenant governor and discussed issues related to promotion of tourism in the region.
