GANDERBAL: In view of the rising water level and strong currents in River Sindh, Police in Ganderbal on Sunday issued a public advisory urging residents, visitors, tourists and especially youngsters to strictly avoid venturing near the banks of the river.
Police advised people not to bathe, swim or take selfies near vulnerable spots along the river, warning that the fast-flowing waters can prove dangerous and may lead to unfortunate incidents.
Parents have also been requested to keep a close watch on children and discourage them from going near the river banks.
Jammu and Kashmir Police appealed to the general public to cooperate with the administration and follow all safety advisories in the interest of safeguarding precious lives.
