Srinagar: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested three drug peddlers in Anantnag, Sopore and Handwara.
A police spokesperson informed that Milad Ayoub of Nai Basti, Anantnag was arrested at Muslimabad, when search of his vehicle (JK01P-8668) yielded 95 grams of cannabis-powder like substance.
In Sopore, police arrested Ashiq Hussain Tranko of Noorbagh, after his personal search led to recovery of contraband cannabis-like substance and psychotropic Codeine Phosphate.
In Handwara, Manzoor Ahmad Chopan of War Mohalla Haril was arrested near Govt Higher Secondary School after cannabis-like contraband substance was recovered from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations for further investigation, police said.
