Srinagar: Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, a physician, scientist and public health fellow from Jammu and Kashmir, has been nominated for the prestigious Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered Biologist (CBiol) distinctions by the Science Council and the Royal Society of Biology.
The internationally recognised designations are awarded to individuals demonstrating exceptional expertise, leadership, academic excellence and sustained professional development, along with impactful contributions to science and society. While CSci acknowledges advanced competence across scientific disciplines, CBiol recognises distinguished achievement in the biological sciences.
Dr Itoo, a graduate in Biology from the University of Kashmir who later pursued medicine at the University of Jammu, holds multiple international credentials, including FRSPH (UK), Fellow IDF (Belgium), MAcadMEd (UK), IPFPH (UK) and MRSB (UK).
He is affiliated with several international medical and scientific organisations and continues to contribute to healthcare through innovation, research and education.
The dual nomination further reinforces his standing as an internationally recognised physician-scientist and highlights his contributions to research, writing, education and medicine.
