Budgam: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has announced restrictions and diversions in Budgam town on May 5 in view of a mega padyatra under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
According to the advisory, vehicular movement through Budgam town will remain affected from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the town declared a no-traffic zone during this period.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is scheduled to inaugurate the padyatra at the New Bus Stand, Budgam.
Authorities have issued a diversion plan: Traffic from Beerwah and Magam towards Srinagar will be diverted at Mirgund via Khumani Chowk to Bemina. Vehicles from Humhama towards Budgam will be rerouted via Ompora–Narkara–Gangbugh.Traffic from Khansahib via Ichgam will be diverted through Gudsathoo, Panzan, Chadoora and Kralpora. Vehicles from Jawalapora will be diverted via Lakhripora, Pallar and Mirgund.
Multiple halting points including Durbugh Crossing, Chadoora, Ompora, Ichgam and Mirgund have been designated to manage congestion.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate and follow the advisory for smooth movement.
