Anantnag: Acting on specific inputs about the незакон sale of controlled medicines, J&K Police on Tuesday carried out a raid at Cheeni Chowk in Anantnag, leading to the sealing of a medical shop.
A team from Police Station Anantnag, working in coordination with the Drugs & Food Control Department, inspected Atif Medical Store where a significant quantity of controlled pharmaceutical drugs was found being sold in violation of norms.
During the raid, officials seized several medicines, including 13 strips of Pregabalin Pro 2.0, 10 strips of Lopez MD-2, 63 tablets of Clonazepam with Propranolol, and eight bottles of Cocas-DX cough syrup. All the seized items were taken into custody and handed over to the concerned department for further action.
Following the violations, authorities immediately sealed the store and initiated proceedings to cancel its pharmaceutical licence as per legal provisions.
Police reiterated their commitment to cracking down on the illegal sale of drugs and appealed to the public to report such activities, stressing that community cooperation is vital to protect public health and safety.
