JAMMU: J&K Police on Friday conducted the second day of a specialised training programme on VIP and VVIP security at the District Police Lines in Samba and Doda.
The training is part of a capacity-building initiative aimed at enhancing the preparedness of police personnel deployed on VIP and VVIP security duties.
Around 350 officers and officials, including gazetted officers, participated in the sessions held simultaneously at District Police Lines Samba and District Police Lines Doda.
The programme focused on improving knowledge and practical skills related to VIP security, handling of modern security gadgets and technologies, standard operating procedures, situational awareness and inter-agency coordination.
The sessions were conducted by Rakesh Kumar and Khalid Amin.
The officers shared field-based experiences and briefed participants about emerging security threats, best practices and challenges faced during security deployments.
The programme also included interactive discussions and scenario-based exercises to help personnel better understand response mechanisms and ground situations.
Police said the training programme would help strengthen the overall security framework in the Jammu zone.
