During the interaction, the delegation informed the Lieutenant Governor about the extensive awareness activities carried out by the DPS school community in support of the anti-drug campaign.

The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts of the DPS fraternity and lauded the students for their awareness, confidence and commitment.

He encouraged them to continue acting as agents of positive change in society.

The delegation included eight student brand ambassadors — Mahira Tandon, Dhriti Langeh, Abhilasha Gupta, Myra Gupta, Jenna Nuryn, Nadia, Sparsh Bakshi and Kashvi Arora — who have been actively leading awareness campaigns and motivating fellow students to participate in building a drug-free society.

The delegation informed the Lieutenant Governor that DPS Jammu, DPS Nagbani and DPS Katra jointly organised a Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir pledge campaign involving around 12,000 students, parents and members of the teaching and administrative staff.

Besides the pledge campaign, the schools also organised various awareness activities to sensitise the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Among others present during the meeting were Principal of DPS Jammu Ruchi Chhabra, Principal of DPS Nagbani Rajkumar Verma, School Incharge DPS Katra Simmi Sharma, Vice Principal DPS Jammu Meenu Gupta, Headmaster Ravi Kotroo and Deputy Headmaster Umesh Sharma.
