Srinagar: On the occasion of the 87th Raising Day of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Srinagar Sector organised a series of blood donation camps across the Valley, reflecting the force’s commitment to humanitarian service.
A major blood donation camp was held at Group Centre (GC) Srinagar on March 6 in collaboration with SKIMS Medical College, Bemina. The camp was inaugurated by Inspector General (IG) CRPF Srinagar Sector, P.K. Sharma.
Officers and personnel of the CRPF participated enthusiastically in the camp and voluntarily donated blood to support patients in need and strengthen the local healthcare system.
Similar blood donation camps were also organised by CRPF operational units deployed in Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal districts from March 6 to March 9 as part of the Raising Day celebrations.
A large number of CRPF personnel took part in the initiative and contributed to the noble cause with great enthusiasm.
The programme highlighted the spirit of service and dedication among CRPF personnel, who continue to serve the nation not only by ensuring security but also by extending support to society through humanitarian initiatives.
The camps concluded with appreciation for all the donors and medical staff for their valuable contribution in making the blood donation drives successful.
