Power supply to remain affected in parts of Kashmir on multiple dates

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Valley due to maintenance works on transmission lines.

According to the statement, a shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina I & II lines will be observed on March 10, 14 and 28, due to which power supply to Police Colony, Qamarabad, Usmanabad, Iqbalabad, Qamarwari Market, Medical Hostel, PDD Complex, SK Colony, Hamza Colony, Sir Syed Abad and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

Similarly, shutdown of the 33 KV Kanipora–Pinjoora line will be carried out on March 12, 15, 23 and 25, affecting power supply to Town, Arhama, Pinjoora, Klora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Shirmal and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Meanwhile, shutdown of the 33 KV Achabal–Cherpora Tapline will be observed on March 11 and 14, resulting in power supply disruption to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora and adjoining areas from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to take note of the scheduled shutdowns.
