Tral United defeats Shalgam Sports Mattan by 39 runs

Anantnag, July 25:  In the ongoing Mirza Ghalib T20 cricket Tournament at Government Degree College (Boys) Annatnag, Tral United overpowered Shalgam sports Mattan as they defeated them by 39 runs.

After winning the toss, Tral united elected to bat first and scored 149 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

Umar Shah of Tral United played a brilliant knock of 57 runs as he hit 5 Sixes and 2 fours which helped his team to set the target of 150 runs for the rivals.

Shahid Kashoo with 23 runs and Usaib shah 22 runs were the next top scorers for Tral United.

Chasing the target of 150 runs Shalgam Sports Mattan was bundled out at 110 runs.

Although due to the bad weather conditions, the game got interrupted but the competition came to an end with the victory of Tral united.

Farhat Ahmad of Shalgam Sports was the top scorer for his team with 44 runs, while as the rest of the players could not perform well with the bat.

Shahid Kashoo was awarded man of the match for his 23 runs innings and taking 3 wickets.
