JAMMU: In connection with the observance of National Voters’ Day, Director Information and Public Relations, Nitish Rajora, today administered the National Voters’ Day (NVD) Pledge to officers and officials of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) at Media Complex here.
On the occasion, the Director, along with the officers and officials of DIPR readout the pledge, reaffirming commitment to the democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of India and upholding the principles of democracy, exercising their electoral rights responsibly and encouraging greater participation in the electoral process.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of Information highlighted on the significance of this year’s theme ‘My India My Vote’ of NVD, adding that the theme reflects the strengthening of democratic institutions and fostering awareness about the importance of informed and ethical voting.
Emphasizing on the role of DIPR regarding SVEEP activities of the Election Department, the Director urged DIPR personnel to actively contribute towards spreading voter awareness and promoting inclusive participation in elections.
