I&FC land donors call on Jal Shakti Minister

JAMMU: A delegation of land donors associated with the Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC) Department, Jammu, today met with Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana and submitted a memorandum seeking resolution of their demands.

The delegation apprised the Minister that they have been working with the Irrigation & Flood Control Department Jammu in lieu of land donated by them for creation of vital irrigation and flood control infrastructure. Highlighting their long-standing association and contribution, the land donors requested for a considered resolution of their pending issues.

The Minister assured the delegation that all their concerns are being examined carefully. He stated that the issues would be addressed in a phased manner by the current dispensation, in accordance with the existing rules.

The delegation was comprised of land donors which was led by A. Attri, retired DIG besides Vijay Lochan and M. K. Rana, among others.
