The training programme is primarily targeted at rural unemployed youth and aspiring agri-entrepreneurs. It seeks to create awareness and impart hands-on technical skills in climate-smart apple farming, precision orchard management, modern production techniques, and sustainable use of resources. Special emphasis will be laid on climate-smart interventions, digital tools, mechanization, and scientific orchard practices to enable participants to pursue apple cultivation as a viable income-generating enterprise.

Experts from the Faculty of Agriculture and allied disciplines will conduct lectures, practical demonstrations, and field-based training sessions throughout the six-week duration. The initiative aims to empower participants with practical knowledge and entrepreneurial capabilities, enabling them to adopt modern horticultural technologies and contribute to rural livelihood enhancement and agricultural development.

The inaugural programme concluded with an interactive session, during which participants expressed keen interest and appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a timely step towards strengthening youth engagement in climate-smart horticulture and precision farming in the region.
