Srinagar: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, V. K. Birdi-IPS, flagged off a group of students for participation in the 26th Rashtra Katha Shivir, being organised by the Vedic Mission Trust at village Pransala, Upleta, District Rajkot, Gujarat.
The flag-off ceremony was held at District Police Lines, Srinagar, and was organised by Zonal Police Headquarters, Kashmir. A total of 22 students from different parts of the Kashmir Valley, accompanied by three caretakers, will take part in the Shivir scheduled from December 27, 2025, to January 4, 2026.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by DIG CKR Srinagar Rajiv Pandey-IPS, SSP Srinagar Dr G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS, and other senior officers.
During an interactive session with the students, IGP Kashmir highlighted the significance of such exposure programs in promoting national integration, social and religious harmony, and overall personal development. He encouraged the students to make the most of this opportunity by learning new values, gaining diverse perspectives, and creating lasting memories.
The Zonal Police Headquarters Kashmir had made comprehensive arrangements for the participants, including boarding and lodging facilities. Each student has also been provided with a customized kit containing clothing and essential items to ensure comfort throughout the journey and stay.
The 26th Rashtra Katha Shivir, hosted by Vedic Mission Trust, aims to nurture youth by developing critical life skills and inspiring them through motivational and value-based sessions conducted by eminent speakers.
