Rana reaffirmed Omar Abdullah Government’s commitment to the socio-economic upliftment of the Gujjar–Bakerwal community.

He assured the gathering that all genuine concerns and proposals presented by the GDCT would be vigorously taken up with the concerned departments for timely and effective redressal.

The Minister also commended the Trust for its decades-long legacy of service, acknowledging its pivotal role in empowering marginalized sections, promoting educational awareness and preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Gujjar–Bakerwal tribe.

Underscoring the importance of stronger institutional coordination, Rana emphasized that tribal welfare schemes must be implemented in an inclusive, targeted and accountable manner to ensure their benefits reach the grassroots.

Rana urged the trust to strengthen collaboration between the government and the Gujjar Desh Charitable Trust, ensuring that the benefits of development initiatives reach every deserving household within the community.
