JAMMU: Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, today visited the Security Wing Headquarters at Sidhra, Jammu, where he inaugurated a newly renovated Conference-cum-Training Hall, adding a key facility to the Wing’s infrastructure.
After the inauguration, the DGP chaired a review meeting of the Security Wing. Inspector General of Police (Security), Sujit Kumar Singh, briefed the DGP on the functioning, operations and ongoing activities of the Wing.
Prabhat appreciated the Wing for its continued focus on refresher training programmes aimed at sharpening the skills and preparedness of its personnel. He also issued directions to the Security Transport Workshop to ensure timely servicing and repair of escort vehicles, stressing the need to maintain a reliable and well-equipped security apparatus.
Senior officers including ADGP Headquarters M.K. Sinha, ADGP Armed Anand Jain, IGP Jammu B.S. Tuti, IGP Railways Vivek Gupta, and IGP Traffic Sulaiman Salaria were present during the meeting.
The DGP’s visit reaffirmed the J&K Police’s commitment to strengthening security mechanisms and improving operational efficiency to safeguard the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
