Srinagar: General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) and MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar, today laid the foundation stone for the major renovation and upgradation work at the SDA Community Centre, Sultan-ul-Arifeen (RA), Rajouri Kadal, being executed at an estimated cost of ₹65 lakhs.
Addressing the gathering, Sagar emphasized the importance of creating vibrant community spaces that serve as centers for social and cultural engagement. He said the upgradation work will enhance the utility and accessibility of the centre, benefitting residents from Rajouri Kadal and adjoining areas.
On the occasion, Sagar also announced an additional ₹30 lakhs from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for the extension and furnishing of the facility, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of the local community.
MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour and lauded the developmental initiatives being undertaken in the area under the leadership of Ali Mohammad Sagar. He said the National Conference remains committed to inclusive development and the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Prominent local residents, party workers, and officers from the concerned departments were also present at the event.
