Srinagar: A piping ceremony was held today at District Police Lines Awantipora to honour the officials who have recently been promoted to their next ranks.
On the occasion, Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, V.K Birdi piped the ranks to the newly promoted officers/officials. A total of 08 officials were decorated, which included 04 ASIs promoted to SIs, 01 ASI (M) promoted to SI (M), 01 HC (M) promoted to ASI (M), and 02 SgCts (M) promoted to HCs (M).
The ceremony was attended by DIG SKR, SSP Awantipora, and Addl. SP Awantipora and other senior officers of the Police District. IGP Kashmir congratulated the promoted officials, extended his best wishes for their future assignments, and urged them to work with greater dedication and commitment.
