Hussain, who is on a two-day visit to Kashmir, chaired a meeting with district coordinators, district presidents, and senior party leaders at the Srinagar party headquarters. He sought feedback on party activities at both the national and state levels, as well as ongoing programmes across districts in the Kashmir region.

The coordinators and district presidents briefed the AICC General Secretary about their performance and reiterated their commitment to strengthening the party. They assured him of their resolve to continue working for the welfare of the people, who, they said, face multiple issues due to the prevailing administrative situation. They also highlighted their efforts to mobilise people in their respective districts and noted that the public appreciates the Congress party’s proactive role and trusts its policies and programmes. They emphasised that Congress is tirelessly reaching out to people and raising their issues for resolution.

Hussain received detailed feedback on the party’s activities over the last six months and expressed satisfaction with its performance. He also lauded JKPCC for launching the Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq movement for the restoration of statehood to J&K.

The meeting also deliberated on several key issues, including performance-based restructuring of the organization. Emphasis was laid on further rejuvenating activities at the grassroots level, including in far-flung areas of J&K.

Speaking on the occasion, Karra underscored the importance of strengthening the party’s Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq movement for the restoration of statehood. He urged party leaders to strictly implement all national programmes in their districts. Karra added that people have high expectations from Congress, given its stand on statehood and its unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of the people.
