Div Com Kashmir reviews preparations for ‘Sewa Parv’ celebrations

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg, today chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the upcoming celebration of ‘Sewa Parv’ across the Kashmir division.

The meeting aimed to ensure coordinated efforts by district administrations and line departments for the impactful execution of activities.

The meeting was attended by all Deputy Commissioners besides heads and representatives from departments including Rural Sanitation, Urban Local Bodies, Social Welfare, Education, Health, Horticulture, Agriculture, AACL, Information, Skill Development, Police, and Forest.

Addressing the meeting, Div Com underscored the importance of a focused and result-oriented approach to achieve tangible outcomes during the ‘Sewa Parv’ period. He called for convergence and synchronization of departmental activities, programs, and awareness campaigns for effectiveness, as per the directions of LG.

To ensure effective monitoring, he directed each district to nominate a Nodal Officer, while Deputy Director Planning, Ashiq Hussain Malik, was appointed as the Divisional Level Nodal Officer to oversee coordination and monitor daily progress.

He emphasized the uploading of targets achieved, photographs, and videos on the web portal developed by the IT department.

He laid focus on various activities to be planned during the period which include Social Security Initiatives, Implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, Financial Inclusion Drives, Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan, Poshan Abhiyan, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Grievance Redressal Mechanisms, Plantation Drives, and Health & Nutrition Initiatives etc.
