SRINAGAR: Mission Director (MD), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Jammu & Kashmir, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, today inspected the pipe store Pampore to review and assess the available stock of Ductile Iron (DI) and Galvanised Iron (GI) pipes.
MD was accompanied by the Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti department, Kashmir; Technical Advisor, Kashmir; Superintending Engineer, Mechanical and other officers.
During the visit, officers conducted a detailed inspection of the inventory to ensure that the required materials are adequately available to support ongoing and upcoming projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The review was aimed at strengthening supply chain management, identifying gaps, and ensuring the timely availability of materials for rural water supply schemes.
MD emphasized the importance of maintaining proper stock levels to meet project deadlines and ensure uninterrupted progress towards providing functional household tap connections in rural areas.
Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti, assured that all necessary steps will be taken to streamline procurement and distribution processes.
The visit reflects the commitment of the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Jal Shakti department to enhancing water supply infrastructure and improving service delivery to citizens.
