During his visit to Kangan Block, Singh inspected survey operations carried out by the enumerator, supervisor, and district nodal officer, and reviewed real-time data collection through the eLISS software. He appreciated the field staff’s efforts, emphasized timely completion, and assured support in addressing operational challenges.

Interacting with villagers, Singh highlighted the importance of accurate data collection for estimating milk, meat, egg, and wool production, which forms the basis for policy-making at Central and State levels.

The livestock sector contributes over 30% of the Gross Value Added of Agriculture and Allied Activities in India. In 2024, the country achieved record outputs – 239.30 million tonnes of milk (highest globally), 142.77 billion eggs (2nd globally), and 10.25 million tonnes of meat (4th globally).
