Dy CM conducts surprise inspection of CE R&B, PMGSY offices in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, today conducted a surprise inspection of Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) and PMGSY offices in Rajbagh, Srinagar to assess the operational efficiency and employee punctuality.

The inspection was aimed at ensuring seamless functioning of the department, with a focus on the timely execution of duties and projects.

During the inspection, the Dy CM reviewed the attendance registers to verify the presence of staff across different branches. He emphasised the importance of punctuality, stating that timely arrival at the workplace was essential for maintaining discipline and ensuring smooth operations.

Surinder Choudhary, while interacting with the staff there, maintained that the government is committed to ensuring speedy and hassle-free delivery of public services to the people. He directed the employees to strictly adhere to office hours, underscoring that consistent punctuality reflects a commitment to public service and enhances the department’s credibility.

The Dy CM also instructed the officials to avoid any mismanagement in their work and prioritise the timely completion of all ongoing projects. He highlighted that delays in project execution could weaken public trust. He stressed that disciplined work ethics are foundational towards achieving departmental goals.

The Deputy Chief Minister also asked the senior officials to closely monitor the attendance and project progress, ensuring that any lapse in this regard is addressed promptly.

Emphasizing on the need for transparency, timely execution, improved citizen service and cleanliness, the Dy CM stressed for speedy disposal of pending bills for seamless execution of projects without any hindrance.
