BUDGAM, JULY 11: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting to take stock of the developmental works being executed by various departments/agencies under approved Rs.180 crore Capex outlay for the year 2018-19.

The meeting was held at New Conference Hall Budgam where DDC also took stock of the implementation of decisions taken  during the Governor’s visit to Budgam.

ADC Budgam Mohammad Farooq Dar, ACD, ACR, all SDMs, CPO and other senior officers from various line departments attended the meeting.

The DDC took in depth review of developmental works being executed by various engineering wings and directed the officers to redouble their efforts and ensure works are completed within stipulated timeframe.

She directed Revenue authorities to submit a report and concerned revenue extracts that are halting various road and other developmental projects including Ring Road project within 5 days so that the bottlenecks are removed.

She directed concerned authorities to make coordinated efforts to settle all the land acquisition disputes concerning Reshipora- Ompora and Hangoo-Surasyaar road projects.

With regard to other issues, the DDC stressed that all schools in the district be provided with supply of drinking water facility. She also stressed upon the concerned to ensure cent percent coverage of toilets in all schools under the SBM.

On shifting the of F&ES building, the DDC asked Social Forestry department to coordinate with the concerned agency in removing the trees on the proposed site at the earliest.

Meanwhile, the DDC reiterated that all the departments and offices shall ensure installation of Aadhar linked bio-metric attendance device with immediate effect.

She urged the concerned to submit their tour dairies on weekly basis highlighting their achievements and status of the works.
