Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have solved a case of theft by arresting two accused individuals. Stolen property worth ₹5 lakhs was also recovered from their possession.
Sharing details, police said investigating a case of theft in Mamoosa Pattan, police with the help of technical and human intelligence, identified the vehicles involved in the commission of the crime. Interrogation of the suspects led to the arrest of Shabir Ahmad Tabardar, son of Ali Mohammad Tabardar, resident of Singhpora, and Umer Nabi Khanday, son of Ghulam Nabi Khanday, resident of Zangam. Based on their disclosures, the stolen wire was recovered and the vehicles used in the commission of crime were also seized. Further investigation is underway.
