July 07: Srinagar police has arrested six gamblers and recovered stake money of rupees 27450 from the spot.

A police spokesman in a statement said that a police party of Police Station Soura raided a gambling site near Khawajapora Nowshera Soura. During the raid, six gamblers.

The arrested were identified as Farooq Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Riyaz Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Mohammad, Mohammad Shafi Bhat son of Noor Mohammad Bhat, Riyaz Ahmad Beigh son of Abdul Rashid, residents of Nowshehra Soura, Bilal Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Lakhripora Nowshehra Soura and Ajaz Ahmad Khawajapora son of Ghulam Rasool resident of Sikh Bagh Lalbazar Srinagar.

Stake money of rupees 27450 was recovered from the spot.

In this regard, a case FIR number 77/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
