Power shutdown scheduled across several areas in north Kashmir for maintenance works

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in various areas of north Kashmir in May 2025 to facilitate branch cutting and essential stabilization works.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Branch Cutting and necessary Stabilization works, shutdown of various 33KV lines shall be carried out which shall affect power supply to several areas.

Shutdown of 33KV Sopore line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Sopore-I and Sadiq Colony shall remain off while power supply to Sopore, Sadiq Colony and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 04 & 06 May, 2025.

Also, the shutdown of 33KV Nowpora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Nowpora, Seelo, Achbal, Bomai shall remain off while power supply to Nowpora, Seelo, Achbal, Bomai and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 07, 10 & 13 May, 2025.

Similarly, the shutdown of 33KV Bandipora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru shall remain off while power supply to Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 12, 15 & 17 May 2025.

Further, the shutdown of 33KV Arampora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Arampora, Panzipora, Bugoo, Shair Colony shall remain off while power supply to Arampora, Panzipora, Bugoo, Shair Colony and Ogmuna area will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 20, 24 & 27 May, 2025.
