DC Kupwara chairs DLRC meeting

KUPWARA, JUNE 01: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, today chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting to review the overall performance of banks and relevant departments in the district.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kupwara, Imtiaz Ahmad, LDM Kupwara, LDO, RBI, DDM NABARD, heads of various banks and all district and sectoral officers.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed on the need for 100 per cent achievement of Annual Credit Plan (ACP) targets. He further emphasized that joint awareness camps by Government Departments/Banks be conducted more frequently in the district so that people can avail benefits of government schemes.

He suggested that quarterly schedules be listed out by all stakeholders with the purpose that people be acquainted about the developmental schemes.  He directed the heads of Financial Institutions to ensure balanced lending among all key sectors, to promote equitable growth in all sectors of the economy. He further directed the financial institutions to make sustained efforts to improve credit off take in housing and education sectors.

He emphasized for achieving targets set for the current financial year by the end of the first quarter so that perceptible growth in various indicators is registered and encouraged further.

The DDC expressed satisfaction over performance shown by KVIC, NRLM, Handicrafts and other departments and suggested dedication and sincerity of purpose towards enhancing the performance by other departments.

The DDC impressed upon all stakeholders to leave no stone unturned in implementing the welfare and developmental schemes in the district aimed towards the uplift of the downtrodden and vulnerable sections of the society.
