Srinagar: The All-Sikh Minority Employees Association/All Employees Joint Action Committee (ASMEA/AEJAK) held a high-level meeting in Srinagar today, bringing together district bodies from Baramulla, Tral, Pulwama, Budgam, and Srinagar.
The meeting was chaired by the association’s President, Jugmeet Kour Bali.
The session began with opening remarks from S. Premjit Singh, General Secretary of ASMEA, who highlighted the organization’s recent achievements and extended a warm welcome to the district leaders in attendance.
Throughout the meeting, district presidents, including Supinder Kour (Anantnag), Iqbal Singh (Budgam), and S. Paramjit Singh (Tral), discussed various challenges faced by employees in their respective regions. S. SP Singh and S. Jagjit Singh also contributed valuable insights on improving the organization’s operations. S. Manmeet Singh emphasized the importance of robust documentation and data collection as critical tools for enhancing the organization’s efficiency.
S. Avtar Singh, a senior representative from Tral, outlined key areas for improvement, underscoring the need for stronger collaboration among district bodies to better address the concerns of minority employees.
In her closing remarks, Jugmeet Kour Bali expressed her gratitude to all members for their participation and acknowledged the support of the LG administration in resolving several issues affecting minority employees. She reiterated the organization’s commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of Sikh minority employees across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting marked a significant step forward in addressing the challenges faced by minority employees and strengthening ASMEA/AEJAK’s efforts to support them.
