Director JKEDI visits Pulwama, Shopian centres

SRINAGAR: Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Wednesday reviewed the functioning of district centres Pulwama and Shopian.

Taking stock of the functioning of the twin district centres, Director JKEDI, Rajinder Kumar Sharma reviewed the recovery and repayments, training activities being undertaken by the districts and the status of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) under the Tejaswani scheme.

He pressed on the employees to spread the word of entrepreneurship through Entrepreneurship Awareness Programs (EAPs) by engaging the youth of the respective districts. He also urged the officials to develop a robust ecosystem of entrepreneurship by educating the people about the recently launched J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 and other benefits of the various startup related initiatives of the UT government.

Director JKEDI also took part in the plantation drive at district Shopian under ‘Swachata Pakhwada Campaign-2024’. He emphasized on the cleanliness and plantation drives as a major part of the pakwada.

By providing a supportive environment and necessary resources, JKEDI is empowering the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to turn their ideas into successful ventures.
