Srinagar: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, Friday said that the possibility of declaring another round of summer vacations for schools in the region is not possible at the moment.
Talking to reporters, the Div Com emphasized that any decision regarding summer vacations will be made based on the evolving weather conditions. He stated, “At present, the weather does not warrant an immediate summer vacation for schools. We are closely monitoring the situation and will make a decision in due course.”
He said that the administration is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
He said that any student who may not attend the school in present conditions will not be published for attendance.
The Div Com also assured that the administration will keep the public informed and make timely decisions in the best interests of students and educational institutions.
This announcement comes amidst concerns over the impact of the prolonged dry spell and heatwave on the region, affecting not only daily life but also the agricultural and horticultural sectors in Kashmir.
