June 20: Budgam police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 25 kilograms of grinded poppy straw from their possession.
Yesterday, a police party of Police Station Budgam intercepted a Wagon-R car bearing registration number DL 9 CQS 3188 during routine traffic checking. During checking of the vehicle, 25 kilograms of grinded poppy straw was recovered.
Three accused persons identified as Shabir Ah Ahat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat resident of Gojra, Kartar Singh son of Baa Singh resident of Manama District Taratran Punjab and Guru Sahab Singh son of Panjunram resident of Patti Bahadur Nagar Tarantaran Punjab, boarding the vehicle were arrested.
In this regard a case FIR number 152/18 under section 8/15 NDPS ACT was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation has been taken up.
