Srinagar: Police in Shopian have arrested a “notorious” drug peddler and recovered heroin-like contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Friday.
Drug-peddler Hilal Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Ahmad Dar of Vehil Shopian, was arrested at Palpora Rawalpora crossing after heroin-like contraband substance weighing about 312 grams (worth crores in international market) was recovered from his possession, police said, adding a case has been registered for further investigation.
