In the twilight of his years, a father’s frailty necessitated leaning against the walls for support, leaving behind faint imprints of his fingers. While his daughter-in-law saw these marks as unsightly blemishes, they represented something far more profound – a silent evidence to the father’s struggle against the inevitable march of time.
Blinded by a misguided sense of propriety, the son and daughter-in-law reprimanded the father for leaving these marks, unwittingly denying him the simple comfort of the wall’s embrace.
