Srinagar: Khyber Industries, a renowned name in the cement industry, declares its association with Downtown Heroes FC as the title sponsor for the upcoming football season.

Downtown Heroes Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir and The Football Club enjoys the privilege of being Champions of Srinagar Premier League 2023-24.

This collaboration marks a significant stride towards encouraging local football talent and facilitating their growth both nationally and internationally.

“We are thrilled to partner with Downtown Heroes FC as the title sponsor for the upcoming football season,” said Mr. Umar Tramboo, Director of Corporate & Strategy at Khyber Industries. “At Khyber Industries, we believe in supporting initiatives that encourage development and community involvement. Our partnership with Downtown Heroes FC aligns perfectly with these ideals, and we’re excited for a great season together.”

The official signing ceremony, held at the Corporate office of Khyber Industries, marked the commencement of the partnership where the unveiling of the team’s new jersey also took place. Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Head of Commercials for Legal & Regulatory Affairs, sealed the deal between the two organizations. This occasion marks a new chapter in the history of Kashmiri football, with Khyber Cements leading the charge in supporting local talent.

With Khyber Industries as the title sponsor, Downtown Heroes FC aims to provide support to young athletes, enabling them to shine on the pitch and beyond across the state of Jammu & Kashmir.

Mr. Irfan Shahmiri, Chairman of Downtown Heroes FC, extended his sincere congratulations to Khyber Cements for their sponsorship. He also highlighted the significance of such partnerships in creating a nurturing environment for aspiring footballers and providing them with the opportunities they merit. Mr. Mushtaq Bashir, founder of the club, was among one of the signatories present at the official signing ceremony.

The collaboration between Khyber Industries and Downtown Heroes FC emphasizes a shared vision to uplift football as a sport and develop a path for the next generation of athletes. The upcoming football season holds the promise of a thrilling journey, filled with opportunities for growth and accomplishment.
