In his valedictory address, Suresh Kumar said that throughout the Utsav, the attendees enjoyed a diverse array of literary interactions, author discussions and cultural performances, highlighting the talents of the region. The event aimed to promote linguistic diversity, foster cultural exchange, and provide a platform for regional artists and writers to showcase their talents.

One of the highlights of the Utsav was the engaging author interactions, featuring esteemed writers from various linguistic backgrounds. Dogri writer Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan, English writer Anil Sehgal, Punjabi writer Harjeet Singh Uppal, Gojri writer Manzoor ul Haq and Hindi writer Dr. Agnisekhar shared their insights and experiences, moderated by distinguished personalities in the literary world.

The Kavi Sammelans in Punjabi and Urdu added a poetic flair to the event, captivating audiences with the power of words and verse. Additionally, the book interactions led by Sushma Yadav provided the attendees with the opportunity to delve into literary works and engage with authors on a deeper level.

The cultural extravaganza featured captivating folk performances, including Dhouns (Nag Tunes), Thali Dance, Ghuraie by all-women artists, Bhakh, Gujar & Pahari wedding songs, and demonstrations by traditional artisans. The attendees were enthralled by the craftsmanship of makers of grass shoes, spindle spinners, goat hair rope makers and pottery artisans from Rajouri and Poonch.

A special interaction at the IGNCA Stall facilitated the participants to revisit the historical significance of Jammu and Kashmir, revive folk culture and traditions, and explore rich heritage of the region. The event also showcased Arvind’s idea of the nation.
