Srinagar: Scores of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) find themselves in a state of uncertainty as their exam results remain “absent” from the official website.

The students of Batch 2018 hailing from diverse backgrounds and regions of Kashmir Valley told Kashmir Images that they have been left grappling with the aftermath of a technical glitch that has thrown their academic pursuits into disarray.

“Despite submitting our fees online and appearing for examinations in October 2023, we have been met with frustration as our efforts seem to have gone in vain,” they said.

According to officials at the university’s Srinagar Regional Centre, the issue stems from a technical anomaly within the official website, which has failed to display the results of the affected students.

Expressing their dismay, a delegation of students approached Kashmir Images and lamented the lack of progress in resolving the matter, citing the passage of over a month since the results were declared.

In response to inquiries, the Regional Director of the university’s Srinagar branch acknowledged the challenges faced by students, attributing the issue to problems within the Information Technology and Communication (ITC) department of the Directorate of Distance Education at MANUU.

When contacted, Director MANUU Regional Centre Srinagar Dr Mohammad Ejaz Ashraf told Kashmir Images that the issue has been resolved. “If any student still has any grievances, let him come to my office,” he added.
