Bandipora: As the ceasefire truce remains in place, security forces and militants exchanged a brief gunfire in the forest area of north Kahsmirs’s Bandiora district late Saturday evening.

Sources said militants fired towards a patrolling party of 14 RR. The forces returned the fire and later cordoned off the whole Raynar forest area including Panar village and launched searches.

Additional forces have been rushed to the areas. However, there were no reports of any injuries of casualties.
