The Director said that the department has established hi-tech polyhouses in all the districts of the Kashmir division.

He said that more and more farmers are taking up polyhouse technology in vegetable cultivation on commercial lines and this trend is indeed encouraging. He said the most important characteristic of polyhouse technology enabling round-the-year vegetable production is making it popular among the farming community of the division.

Chowdhury said under HADP special attention has been focused on boosting polyhouse technology.

He also underscored the importance of integrated farming and asked the farmers to diversify their agriculture operations.

The Director asked the farmers that the department would provide all the technical assistance to them in comprehensively performing their agricultural activities.

The Director of Agriculture also visited Tahab Pulwama and its adjacent areas and took stock of the agriculture scenario in the area.

District Agriculture Officer Pulwama, Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah and some other senior officers were present on the occasion.
