The cricket tournament, which unfolded over several weeks, was a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Army and Team 360. The grand finale was held at Kalapahar Auditorium Ground that was adorned with national flags and a festive atmosphere. Excitement filled the air as fans eagerly awaited the showdown between Royal Cricket Club Jabla and Rising Salamabad.

The final match was a spectacle that showcased remarkable displays of batting, bowling, and fielding skills. The players exhibited a high level of competitiveness, determination, and teamwork, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats throughout the game. The fast-paced action and the shifting momentum of the match ensured that no moment was without its fair share of nail-biting excitement.

The grand finale was graced by the presence of Major General Rajesh Sethi, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding Dagger Division and several other state department officers. The General Officer Commanding was in fact the Pioneer of the tournament while he was the Commanding Officer of the Kathi Battalion. Their presence not only added an aura of importance to the occasion but also highlighted the event’s significance in fostering a strong bond between the armed forces and the civilian population.

Embracing a healthier lifestyle and fostering a drug-free community, the tournament advocated the mantra of “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Sports.” By channeling the youths energy into the excitement of sports, we not only uplift the physical and mental well-being but also build a strong, united front against the negative impact of drugs.

The enthusiastic audience of cricket aficionados played a crucial role in elevating the event’s energy.

The match started with the two teams lining up at the centre of the ground with children holding the national flag in one hand and the team flag in the other. The spotlight was indeed on the 4 NCC cadets who marched out with the teams, holding the national flag.

The stadium reverberated with cheers, chants, and applause as each boundary and wicket was scored. The dynamic interaction between players and fans created an unforgettable atmosphere that encapsulated the essence of the sport.

The final match and the tournament was an epitome of sportsmanship, competition, and community unity. With riveting performances, dignitary presence, and the fervor of the fans, the event showcased the unique ability of cricket to transcend boundaries and bring people together. This extraordinary UPL 2023 finale will be remembered not only for the cricketing prowess on display but also for the enduring spirit of unity that it ignited among all who attended.
