Safeena Beigh reviews arrangements for Muharram processions at Delina

BARAMULLA: The Chairperson of District Development Council (DDC) Baramulla, Safeena Beigh accompanied by a team of officers today visited Delina and took stock of the arrangements being put in place for smooth observation of Muharram processions.

During her visit, the Chairperson interacted with prominent citizens and the Intizamiya committee for the hassle-free conduct of Majlis and processions. Special attention was given to crowd management, ensuring the smooth flow of processions.

While responding to the suggestions and issues put forth by the representatives of the community, Safeena Beigh assured them that all their genuine demands will be looked into on priority.

On the occasion, the Chairperson directed the Municipal Officer to ensure cleanliness around the Imambaras, mosques, and roads where processions will come out during the Muharram processions.

Moreover, the Department of PHE and PDD were asked to ensure adequate water and electricity supply with foolproof standby arrangements.

Furthermore, the Chairperson DDC urged all concerned stakeholders to cooperate and extend their support to ensure the successful conduct of Muharram-ul-Haram events while maintaining peace and harmony in the district.
