Women: The real architects of the society
FacebookTwitterWhatsapp

By: Priyanka Saurabh

‘Women’ is a strong word. It is attractive as it signifies love, care, nurturing, obligations, responsibilities, power, eternity, motherhood, etc. Women are the mirror of the society. When it is pushed to the margins, it is oppressed; If it is nurtured, the society is nurtured; If it is strengthened, it is empowered. She maintains and brings forth the culture and customs. She is the one who cares for her husband and his family. In other words, she creates everything in the society. A woman (mother) is her child, the first teacher; She is the first doctor to treat her children with love. She is the first teacher to teach her children, and the first companion to play games with her children. His task in the development of his child is huge.

For many years in our society, women have been considered inferior to men. Due to this type of inferiority complex, they have to face various issues and problems in their life. To prove themselves equal to men, they have to work harder than men. In the middle ages, people considered women to be the key to destruction, so they never allowed women to go out and participate in social activities like men. Still, in the modern era, women have to face many problems in their daily life and have to struggle a lot to establish their careers. Many parents prefer to have only boys and allow only boys to be educated. For them, women are just a medium to keep the family happy and healthy.

A woman is looked upon with more derision in society and is more at risk of honor killing if she is involved in a love marriage or an inter-caste love marriage. Women do not have equal access to autonomy, mobility outside the home, social freedom, etc. as compared to men. Some of the problems faced by women are due to their domestic responsibilities and culturally and socially assigned roles. The Indian government has implemented several new policies and reforms in recent years to advance gender equality and the economic independence of all women and girls. To empower women financially, some of the major initiatives include creating Jan Dhan accounts for 22 crore women and providing them loans at low interest under the Mudra scheme. Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao initiative was launched to empower women through education.

Granting permanent commission to women in the armed services and increasing the period of maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks fosters a conducive environment for social and economic empowerment and sets up an enabling environment. The laws meant to prevent rape are also being made more stringent. Moreover, the Ujjwala program, the SwadharGreh program, and Mahila Shakti Kendra are some important examples of policies and programs implemented by the central government to deal with the issues that women generally face.

These are some important examples of policies and programs that have been implemented. To guarantee the comprehensive empowerment of women in the country, the government, the business community, non-profit organizations, and the general public must all work together. Mass behavior changes through mass movement and public participation is also necessary. Our society says, ‘Women’ are the most valuable thing on the earth. Let’s salute every woman on this earth.

‘Women are the real architects of the society, they can build whatever they want.’ “What does a woman want”? – Time, care and unconditional love, etc. Every woman on this earth is a symbol of dignity, culture, and respect. This world is empty and blind without women. Women play an important role in the society. Women’s participation in personal life is quite impressive. Many societies overlook the important role women play in homes and communities. Women’s unpaid labor is often neither valued nor included in GDP, often overlooked and unrecognized. Now is the time to recognize how important their role and contribution is. Now is the time to recognize how important their role and contribution is. Let’s make sure both genders see each other as partners.
