Highlighting the importance of the Kisan Sampark Abhiyan, the Director of Horticulture emphasized that it is a pivotal initiative in equipping farmers with the latest knowledge and skills. By providing proper training and guidance, farmers can significantly enhance their crop yield and income, thereby contributing to the growth of the agriculture industry.

He instructed the officers to effectively publicize and implement the programme, actively encouraging and motivating farmers to participate.

Director Horticulture’s visit to Pulwama and Shopian districts is part of the government’s commitment to the holistic development of agriculture.

Later, the Director visited High-Density apple orchards at the village of Allaipora Shopian.

Recognizing the potential and importance of these orchards, Director Horticulture Kashmir actively participated in discussions with farmers, addressing their concerns, and sharing valuable insights on modern horticultural practices.

He also inaugurated a solar irrigation pump during his visit. The solar irrigation pump represents a sustainable solution that harnesses renewable energy to power irrigation systems, reducing dependency on conventional energy sources and minimizing the environmental impact.

The Director of Horticulture was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officers and other officials of these districts.
