JDU’s J&K President, DDC member, delegations call on LG

Srinagar: GM Shaheen, President of J&K Janta Dal United (JDU), called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan today.

Shaheen discussed with the Lt Governor various public important issues pertaining to the fixation of rates of Houseboats and Hotels, completion of pending development works, and avenues to boost the economy of Srinagar during Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

He also extended the support and cooperation of his party in the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The Lt Governor assured Shaheen that the issues projected by him will be looked into earnestly for early redressal.

Meanwhile, Choudhary Shaista, DDC Member from Faqir Gujri Srinagar called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.

The DDC Member apprised the Lt Governor of various development issues and implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in her constituency.

A delegation of the Indian Engineers’ Federation (INDEF) headed by its Chairman S. Ananth, submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lt Governor pertaining to various welfare issues of the engineering community.

Later, a delegation of Water-sports athletes from J&K also called on the Lt Governor.
